8th Grade Graduation Fund Raiser

The parents of the 8th Graders were looking for ideas to raise money to cover costs of graduation. My husband has a Christmas tree farm and I suggested that we could sell Christmas Trees. We created a flyer that described the trees, price and the pick up date. The trees were sold at under market price so everyone was a winner. My husband sold trees at wholesale price, the school made a nice profit and the buyers got a bargain. The downside was that people did not actually see the tree that they were getting as you would on a lot. The upside was that there was no risk to the school because they only were committed to trees that were pre-ordered. Parents did not have to spend time manning a tree lot. Everyone was pleased with their trees so it was a big success.
