A long day of hard work and joyous Kids!

Our Little league group , as many do, needed uniforms. Living in a small community the odds where not good the town would fund our wishes. So , a few of us Moms decided to get together and came up with the idea of selling candy.
Candy is always a hit with young and old, though maybe not such a good idea when it involves kids and chocolate!! But, we went forward with this and found a company that would sell us our 'goods' that we needed to start. Each candy bar, some Hersheys, some Hersheys with almonds and some nuget, where ordered as well as the all time favorites, peanut butter and chocolate. Our cost was .$1.00 , the vender asking $.50 on each bar sold..we ended up being able to sell them for $1.75 each!
As with most little league projects it seems only a few of us do the work..but, boy, did everyone come out to support us!!We had Moms and Dads, Grams and Gramps, and all kinds of neighbors who came to give there support and to sell our candy!
We sold all our candy that day, we could have sold more, and all the proceeds allowed us to not only buy our uniforms, but, we all went out for Ice cream with, you got it, candy toppings!!
