ALS Rubber Bracelet Fundraiser Surprise

by Heather
(virginia beach)

A couple of friends, family and I do fundraising every year for the the Walk Against ALS. We try to come up with fun ideas so we just aren't asking for money every year. Last year we did bracelets.

We found a wholesaler of the rubber bracelets and and got them to etch Team Osisek on them. The deal was if you bought a bracelet then you got into the party for free after the walk.

We asked a local business that was closed on Sundays near the walk if we could use their parking lot for the get together. We got some friends to bring their grills and beach chairs coolers. The idea was a hit.

We didnt' think we were really going to make any money off of it considering how much food was but come to find out people were donating money along with buying the bracelets so we actually profited 1000 dollars off of the idea and we had fun doing it.

The money went to a good cause and everyone got to get together and hangout play some games and eat great food due to the success of the bracelets.

Rubber bracelets are an outstanding tool to raise funds because they are inexpensive for your supporters and highly profitable for your group at the same time. These rubber bracelets include the added advantage of raising awareness for your cause long after your event is over.
