Artanable

Hello, my name is john The local magazine that was created here was called "ARTANABLE". I'd like to begin my story by fisrt saying thank you so much for this clever way of letting people share prescious moments. My wife is a big fan of my art and one day she say's "Honey, I have a great idea. Since the girl's and I love your art work so much and people say it help's influence younger kid's, why don't we put it all in one magazine?" I then proceeded to tell her how we could not afford it and she replied "You have to spend money to make money."
I put my artistic ability to work and drew up a flyer and made many many coppies. The flyer read "Park party please bring kids and anyone who loves art. Come on down and support the less supported. ART FUND RAISER. The flyer then had more information on it stating that there was going to be free hot dogs, hambergers, chicken and soda. What kid doesn't like soda right? Before I knew it, the next weekend was here and we set up in the park with a DJ (he was a suprize)I knew from my old job.It was a hit.
One major tip I can offer is just that you have to be spontanious. If you think your bound to fail, take baby steps but never be discouraged.NEVER. Every famous star had a dream to be what they are and how do you think they made it to where they are today? Baby steps, and persistance. Also throw in something free it does not have to be much, most of us are on budgets anyway if it was not for my mother in-law we wouldn't have succeeded as well as we did.
In my eye's it was a hit smashing hit.That day we raised $2500.00. The cash that we put up for food and everything else, we got it all back. The really funny thing that made everyones day was when my little girl blurted something she completely misunderstood over the micro phone. I was standing there speaking to the DJ back behind the boothe about how good I had to clean the house before we had to get everything started. I told him how I had to clean every nook and cranny. She then yell's at me and say's " Daddy I don't think that Mommy has a crooked fanny at all." The mic was right there next to the DJ's leg, perfect height for my daughter to be heard How embarrassing! We all had a wonderful day, it really wasn't that big of a hit state wide or anything, but we had a ball.
