Backwards Pageant Fundraiser

We put on a fundraiser at my school to raise money for schools in Africa and ended up raising over six hundred and fifty dollars for our Backwards Pageant. We had 14 boys in our high school compete in a beauty pageant. The boys had a talent portion, question portion and dress portion and yes all the boys wear dresses :). We had five teachers be the judges of the "ladies". We had three runner-ups and one boy won the convened Miss MV title. They all had stage names like Peaches and Southern Belle (our winner). In the beginning of the show the boys had a fun group dance they did for the audience to what better than Single Ladies. Example of talent was tap dancing, singing Taylor Swift and even jazzercising. The three runner-ups received a small crown and the winner received a crown, Miss MV sash, and flowers. We tried to model the pageant like the Miss America Pageant. We all had a great time and helped a really deserving cause. The money we raised helped those schools provide lunches for the kids and also went towards the building of more schools because they are so crowded.
