Campus Girl Scouts Try Out Bracelet Fundraiser
by Julie
(Macomb, IL)
The Campus Girl Scouts purchased the bracelets for around $1 each and sold them for $3 each so they made a $2 profit. They went to different offices on campus to promote the bracelets and also to other student group meetings. They sold them to fellow students in their classes. They also sent out a mass email to campus letting the campus community know they had the bracelets for sale.
There were only a few bracelets left once they had gone around campus but we had a hard time selling those so I offered to post a message on our internal bulletin board for the campus. That helped sell the rest of what they had which made the fundraiser a great success. No other organizations on campus at the time had sold silicone bracelets and people liked supporting a good cause.
The money earned by the fundraiser was used to help with programs sponsored by Campus Girl Scouts, such as a sleepover and a skating pizza party. It really helped increase their operating budget enabling them to achieve their goals of supporting Girl Scouts in the area!
