Candle Fundraiser For Children

We sold our candles door to door, at church events, outside stores, as well as at the local schools. We made the candles ourselves which I believe added a more personal touch to the venture and therefore mad the candles more marketable and endearing to those we tried to sell them to.
We all underwent a simple training session by an older member of the church who ran a candle shop for a living in how to design and create our own candles.
We decided to do a candle fundraiser because we found it quite fitting with the Christmas Season as it is always around that time of year that people like to adorn there houses with new and festive decorations and we felt that the burning light would be a reminder of a burning hope we all held for the children spending Christmas at the Children's Hospital.
The most important tip I would provide to those looking to start a Candle Fundraiser is that more sales will be made when the product is homemade and created with a personal purpose as opposed to a packaged, less meaningful store bought candle. Candle Fundraisers are a fun, easy way to make fast money and get involved in your community.

Did you know you can raise money from making your own candles? You can also use it as an on-going enterprise and generate up to $50,000 a year.
