Cheerleading gym fundraiser
I am a coach at a competitive cheerleading gym in the Dallas area.
We did a cookie dough fundraiser to help the parents and kids raise money to pay for travel expenses.
The year we did the cookie dough fundraiser, we were going to Las Vegas for a competition so the travel cost were much higher than normal.
We chose to do this fundraiser because the amount of money we made from each bucket of dough was fairly good and it's something that most people would be willing to buy.
We had a chart in our gym that listed each kid and how many buckets they had sold. When they came in, we would update it. It was kind of a competition for them to see who could sell the most. The highest seller on each team got a blanket one of the mom's made and the team with the most profit got a pizza party.
We made sure and talked about it at every practice so the kids would stay motivated and not forget about it. We also had them turn their money in at each practice so they didn't have to worry about keeping up with it until the end. I don't remember how much we raised in total but many of the kids had their airfare paid for from this fundraiser.
Overall, it was a pretty successful fundraiser!
