Church Cookbook Story Time Fundraiser

One of our church members was an aspiring novelist and had a big heart and loved to help in our kitchen when we would have big group gatherings. She came to us with an amazing fund raising idea that really worked. She wanted to write a sort of novella/ cook book. The idea was interesting because she would put the recipes that we would cook for the group and give a true and inspiring story about the volunteers who helped cook it and how they came up with the recipes. Some of the recipes had rich family histories and others were funny happenings in the kitchen while it was being prepared. Afterward we later sold the book to the members so they could look back and remember the nice times they had while all of us were together and the food we ate. Now the book is in the process of being published so hopefully it will be quite a successful fund raiser.
