Colorguard Uses Scratchcards for Fundraising

We are a part of a colorguard organization. We had been searching for new and interesting fundraisers for a while. We did candy, candles, cookie dough...and that was just the C's with little success.

Our organization is not affiliated with a school, so we have to pay to rent facilities for practice time. We chose scratchcards to provide something new and interesting for fundraising.

We found the older children in our program were more successful. They could branch out to friends and the community more easily than our little ones. (Ages range from 7-23 years old).

We also found we needed to find better incentives for scratching the cards. Family members don't mind scratching for little reward than helping out their kids/grandkids, etc. However, in the community, the scratchers want something good for their donation. That is where we need to improve this program the next time we use it.
