Cookie Dough for the Poor
I am the parent of 4 children. My youngest child needed to raise money for the poor/homeless for her catholic education class. We brainstormed and came up with the cookie dough
idea. What better way to spend with your child than baking cookies. Instead of buying cookies and eating them on the run we would sell the dough so that families could spend time together baking them.
Everyone was excited with this new idea and so we began to make posters and print out order forms. It seems everyone thought as we did, that this was great for families! we also had another selling point..you could freeze the cookie dough! This doubled the sales! Imagine a cold fall/winter evening and how delicious warm cookies would be, now you could make them without the fuss and no mess...just pull the cookie dough out of the freezer, wait a little while for them to defrost and voila...warm cookies!
