Cookie Dough Fundraiser Success

A few years back my high school orchestra was in need of some money for instruments to rent out to less fortunate students. At a brainstorming meeting we decided to sell cookie dough. It was October, and everyone could use a warm, freshly baked cookie after a cold fall day. We planned on giving each student order forms to bring around, but after a week we realized that wasn't working as much as we would have hoped for.

Our big secret was to use some cookie dough stored away from a previous year. We had baked some cookies during the day and that night used them at a bake sale/ploy to get people to realize how tasty these cookies are! At the table we gave out order forms and designated a time for them to be dropped off. After one night we tripled sales from the original week.

While I don't have a specific number, we raised enough money to supply 20 students with instruments to use, free of charge. The fundraiser was a great success!
