Cookie Dough Success

Every school always has fun and unique fundraisers to help their school. My daughter who went to Cape Coral High School had a cookie dough fundraiser for her trip to an FBLA conference. FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. The fundraiser was to fund the bus needed for the trip, and the food as well.
The fundraiser was a success and the entire trip was funded for the 15 students who went to the FBLA conference.
The teacher who was in charge of FBLA decided to deviate from the normal fundraiser of selling chocolate, and go for the unique idea of selling cookie dough. At the beginning it was hard for my daughter to sell the cookie dough; however, my daughter suggested that each of the students should buy some cookie dough and give them out as samples in order to get potential buyers interested. Giving out free samples is always a good way to get potential buyers interested in new products. Giving out samples is one great tip I would give. I helped my daughter out to sell some cookie dough to the neighbors and it truly worked. They loved the taste and immediately purchased some cookie dough.
With fundraisers it’s always a wise choice to have plenty of time to sell your product. Especially when the economy is weak, not many people want to buy extras, they would rather save their money for the necessary items.
Writing out a list of potential buyers is always good because you know who to go to first. My daughter used all of the tips I listed above and she was very successful. She had to go through a lot of hard work in the end. When the fundraiser was through my daughter said, "It was totally worth it."
In total my daughter raised $300 dollars. She was very happy that she was able to raise enough money along with the other FBLA participants in order to attend the conference.
