Cookies Bring Soldiers Home

Recently we had 202 soldiers deployed to Iraq from our local area. They were deployed to training 3 weeks prior to Thanksgiving. At the family meeting the woman in charge said that we had the chance to bring them home for the Holiday if we raised the money to charter the buses! It was $20,000.00 to bring them home. The local VFW donated half of the money, but we used selling cookie dough to raise the rest of the money. We had so much success. The community loves this product and it was easy for the wives and families of those soldiers. It was a easy program and no hassle at all.
