Visitor contributions and fundraising ideas

Deutsche Bracelets

We were raising money for a high school trip through the GAPSA, a German partnership program, so that we could fly to Germany and live with host families for about a month.

What we did that made it successful was wrote "Ich bin geliebt" with a heart on the bracelets (that means "I am loved") This drew the interest of many high school students who bought the bracelets to boost self-esteem.

It was really this grassroots, small scale selling of the bracelets that made the most money.

We chose the idea of a bracelet fundraiser because of success that our high school Key club had earlier in the year.

It took alot of hard work, but we ended up raising about 200 dollars, enough to slightly offset some of the costs of the trip.
