Donkey Basketball Fundraiser

In High School I was in FFA (Future Farmers of America) and we did more than a handful of fundraisers every year so we could go to different conferences and so we could on special trips like to Baseball games, Theme parks, etc... One of the fundraisers we have is called Donkey Basketball. It is an annual game we do around April. It consists of 10 donkeys. 5 for each team. To get the community involved we have a student team and a community team. Since it's a small town everyone knows each other and everyone shows up. We go through a business that does this for different organizations, schools and other businesses that are interested. We usually sell out of seats in the basketball gym, so it is a big seller. We advertise with flyers, newspaper, and radio adds. We charge $3-5 a ticket and usually rack in about $1800-2200 every year. A fun and quick way to make some money for your organization!
