Final Exam Fundraiser

For the past three years I have been the Treasurer for the Resident Hall Association (RHA) at the University of South Florida. Probably the largest fundraiser for the organization are the selling and distribution of final exam packs. As at most other universities, there is the week of finals, where everybody is stressed out because of their upcoming final exams. RHA sends out letters to the parents of students advertising various kinds of final exam packages that are used to lift the spirits of students while they study, Parents order a package and the week before finals students receive their packages, which are filled with all sorts of treats including fruit, cookies and candy, These are sent as an encouragement from the parents and hopefully help students with their studies. The profit from this fundraiser went to RHA, which puts on various programs throughout the year encouraging students to come out of their rooms and interact with others. In order to make this fundraiser an ultimate success, it requires numerous volunteers, especially on distribution day. In the end this fundraiser raises between $2000 and $4000. It's a lot of work, but worth it in the end.
