Fun Day Fundraiser for New Firetruck

We hosted a fun day at a local state park. There was baked goods, a fishing tournament, win a date with a fireman, pony rides, raffle tickets for a 3 day 2 night trip to Destin Florida, a wet dog contest, face painting, hamburgers, hot dogs, b.b.q. ribs, chicken, homemade ice cream and much more.

We were raising money to purchase either a used, or if we made enough, a new fire truck for our community. We have a volunteer fire department that is not funded by the state.

Our community came forward with many different things that helped make it a wonderful day. It was not just a one person thing, everyone pitched in and either helped by working or either donating money.

When you are planning a fundraiser you need as many volunteers and everybody needs to be on the same page. No one person should try to do it all. The fundraiser will be a great success if everyone is working together and not against each other.

We raised a total of 17,471.00 that day. Which was a great help toward the purchase of a used firetruck.
