Fun for the Kids

We ran a cookie dough fundraiser for the fifth grade fundraising efforts of our elementary school. Our school is 500 kids K-5 and the fifth grade raises funds for their year-end trip with a car wash and one year we did a cookie dough fundraiser.

To create some excitement we had a a cookie taste test to choose which company to use with the entire grade at lunch. The fifth graders tasted and then voted on which one they liked best. Fifth graders collected orders but there was also a flyer that was sent to the entire school and a chance for any parent to order without being contacted by a 5th grader.

In our flyer we reported the kids favorites and highlighted the advantages of frozen cookie dough.

We raised over $1000 and would have done it again but some concerns over hydrogenated oils caused us to find another non-food fundraiser.
