Fund Raiser for Helping out Nepal

First, let me tell you a little about the fund raiser. My family, friends, and I raised money/clothes etc. for the children and adults in Nepal.

We raised money in many ways. The little kids involved would take information booklets, decorate a glass jar, and collect change from friends, teachers, neighbors, etc. The adults held raffles, put up fliers, and my favorite; we held a banquet. At the banquet we had a donation box, we taught them about the history, and held raffles. All of the prizes were something straight from Nepal. We raised a ton of money this way.


Great tips I have are to be really outgoing and confident, know what your talking about and have plenty of facts on hand about the thing your raising money for.

Also go to malls and other places that have wishing wells, and ask the managers if you can have some of it for your charity...Most of it goes to charity anyway, so some people may be willing to help you out.

It's hard to say an exact number we raised, I was not in charge, and was a bit younger, and this charity was on going for years. We did however, raise a couple thousand dollars.
