Fundraiser for the blind

When I was in my school we had this fundraising for the blind. It was actually a fund raiser for a cause and the amount genuinely went to the blind people. Each one of us where given a form where we would enter the names of the people and their signatures who would donate us an amount. Since we where kids we where very excited about the idea and would go to our relatives and neighbors asking for their contribution.

It was quite a good idea for schools to encourage such fund raising activities as kids with their innocence would approach adults inspiring them to contribute for a good cause. I was very excited about the idea and wanted to collect as much as I could I went to my parents first to receive their part of the contribution, then I approached all my relatives and friends. I collected a reasonable amount.

After collecting all our funds the next week the blind people organization visited our school with a set of blind men who had extraordinary talents, they performed live orchestra and we where all spellbound by their performance. I was immensely pleased that my little contribution would be of help to them and I was proud of our school for helping them.
