Fundraising Candy for Music

For years and years, our Band Boosters club had been responsible for raising money for the marching band. After a few years they came up with the idea of having us members sell candy and local favorites to fund our trips to Florida and the surrounding states for performances. It wasn't just small candy we were selling, we were charged with the task of selling popular candy bars, in school, around town, and even letting our parents take it to work to satisfy their co-workers' sweet tooth. It worked because the candy was King Sized and cheap, and of course we were particularly charming. It also worked because, out of all the other sports and extracurricular activities at the school, the marching band was the only one responsible for all of it's own funding. We were the underdogs, and something about that inspired people to help us out. Of course, getting delicious candy in return didn't hurt either.
