Fundraising for a Trip to College!

When I was in high school, we never went on field trips. Our school could not afford to send us to Cedar Point or to Florida for our Senior Trip. So, a few friends and I decided that we wanted some kind of field trip. The only thing we could talk our faculty into was something 'educational', like a trip to a college! However, we had to earn the money ourselves by fund raising.

Overall, I would say the venture was a success. After all, we did get our field trip. But, it was a lot of work. I think the biggest thing that helped our magazine sales was that we were extremely motivated, excited and dedicated to making our class trip happen.

However, we did do alot of old fashioned hard work. I don't think there is any easy way to success. We went to family members, friends and neighbors. We went to teachers, and we went door to door in the community. Not very many people turned us down, probably because we were to excited.

One thing that really helped is that my parents took the subscriptions to work and offered to people there, as well.
