Fundraising Simply, Works Every Time...

We were raising money for a playground in our new daycare centre in town, and here are some of the things we did to raise money:
* Got all the parents & friends together we could find and had a huge community Bake-Off. We charged everyone who attended the event $10 each for 'all-you-can-eat' nite... Not only did we raise $1020 that Nite, it also bought the community together & heaps of people got to make new friends & good memories too.
* We also did the good ol' fashioned 'Jelly Bean Count In A Jar' style of idea, but with other things crammed into Jars instead. Anyone can make a guess of how much of the chosen substance is in the jar to win. We priced our guesses at $2 each... And we ran our 'competition' for 1 week. The prize of the winning guess, if any, is the jar with whatever is in it, eg., Ribbons, candy, coins, chocolate bits, anything wrapped singly, pens, popcorn, etc...get creative & have fun.
We raised just over $1800 in only One week, we had 3 Jars...one filled with chocolate MnM's, another with multicoloured hair ribbons, and the third with marbles.
*In total, we earned $2820 in only 7 days for our daycare. Work smart, Not hard.
