I fast pitch girls softball team needed a way to earn money. Their always needing to make money. So we come up with an idea to sell plastic bracelets with different things on them. Of course, some parents and most of the girls purchased, but you only know so many people and only so many people you know where bracelets.
Well, one little guy said he would buy a bracelet if he got throw a water balloon at one of the girls. Well - there it went. Before long, we had to order more bracelets to be sold. Everyone got involved. You got to purchase a bracelet and then come in a exchange it for a water balloon that you could throw at anyone. We had teachers, moms, dads, players, principals, and policemen lined up so any kid who wanted a shot could take it.
We raised more money than we ever thought and had a great deal of fun. We even got to keep most of the bracelets which we plan to use again this summer.
