Gaming Night Made Our Scratchcards a Success

Our fund raiser for the new bell tower for our church was really not going very well. Then one of our members came up with the scratchcard idea. We looked into it and thought it was a good idea, but knew we would have to get the whole community involved if we were going to make the amount we needed.

One of our members is with the Rotary Club and he suggested we ask the Rotary Club if we could circulate with our scratchcards at the annual Rotary casino night. That fund raiser always attracted a lot of people and they were in the mood to gamble. Our scratch cards fit right in. We had small smiley face buttons made up to give as a thank you gift to anyone who played, as well as our coupons.

We circulated through the crowd, asking people to play. We had several people stationed near the exits and caught the big winners from casino night on their way out. We made our goal of 1500.00.
