Girl Scout Jewelery Fundraiser

Making Bracelets
My two teenage girls are members of a Girl Scout Troop with seven of their friends from school and the neighbourhood. This past summer the troop decided to go on a camping trip but needed to find the money to pay for it. Several ideas were recommended like a
bake sale or
washing cars, but the winning idea was making jewelery, in particular
bracelets. As one of the troop mom's I gathered the supplies including beads, string, floss and other adornments. At a few of the meetings the girls would sit together and make bracelets, as well as make them at home. After about 200 bracelets were made the girls started selling door-to-door ad to friends and family. The bracelets sold for $5 each and they made about $750 for their trip. As long as the product is of good quality and the price is low, bracelets always sell, always.
