Grandmas Secret Gravy Cookbook Fundraiser

A long time ago when I was a teenager, my Bluebird group had to collect recipes for a cookbook fundraiser. It was to raise funds for the Baptist Church I attended.
When we gathered all the tomato sauce recipes together we picked the four we thought were the best written. One had a story about how the whole family had to wait until the Grandmother past away at 98 to get the secret gravy (spaghetti sauce) recipe.
Now that she had passed this granddaughter had decided to share it with the whole world! We were thrilled!
So we took the other 3 spaghetti sauce recipes and noticed they were all very similar. That was weird! So we compared the four recipes and the people all had different names. We decided to call the 4 entrants and ask them if they knew why we had so many recipes so close in make up.
Lo and behold the 4 woman were sisters all married to men with different last names and all wanted credit for the recipe. Long story short the dedication went like this:
