Home Interiors Elementary School Candle Fundraiser

by WENDY PRICE
(RAYMOND, MS)

I am a teacher at an elementary school. We participated in a fundraiser through the company Home Interiors, Inc. We ordered brochures from the company which offered candles, home fragrance items, and bath and body products. The fundraiser ran for 2 weeks total. We offered prizes that we supplied. Our prizes ranged from tangible things like giant teddy bears and large baskets full of candy to intangible things like being principal for a day, eating lunch with the superintendent, and a fun day.

The fundraiser was a lot of fun and we promoted it each morning before instructional time began by taking the prizes around to the classrooms and letting the student ooh and ahh over them each and every day. One tip that I can share is to take up money and tally quantities each day or at least every two days in order to cut down on time and frustration at the end. We raised a little over $1000 in the 2 weeks that he students sold.

We just did a fundraiser with a fundraising rep with Celebrating home. http://www.candle-fundraiser.com .They are the company that bought Home Interior Candle fundraising a couple years. If you are looking for candles for your fundraiser, we suggest this rep we worked with. Everything went smooth and we raised way over the amount we needed for our kids
