Little League Fundraiser

Our group was trying to raise money for new equipment for our Little League baseball team. One of the parents suggested using an Ebay auction consisting of a pair of tickets to each of our hometown's professional sports teams (i.e. football, baseball, hockey). We also threw in some sports equipment and snacks as sort of an add-on "Tailgating Pack".

To advertise this fundraiser, we passed out fliers at the field and also at the kids' various schools. We made a note of the auction on the League's front bulletin and also, sent out mass emails advertising the event.

The best thing we did though, was to contact our local newspaper. They thought the idea of a story about Little Leaguer's trying to raise money was a great "hometown" idea so we got a write up in the paper.

Overall, we advertised very, very well for our auction and ended up raising well over $5000. The team got their new equipment and plus, we were able to get uniforms and playground toys, too!
