Magazine Fundraising Advice

When I was in tenth grade I was participating in our schools drum line. Which is a band activity involving only percussion instruments. Since our normal had its funding cut, so did our drum line, so our band boosters (the ones in charge of fundraising) thought it would be an amazing idea to sell magazine subscriptions to the community. We wanted to raise enough cash to keep our band touring dates, as well as our drum line ones as well.

Now we were not all excited to take on this endeavor. As a group we scoured the neighborhoods around our school. Asking everyone to sign up for our magazine subscriptions.

Sadly our fundraiser didn't go as planned. Our booster had selected a very strange assortment of magazines. Mostly modern art magazine done by independent authors. Which made it very difficult for us to sell many subscriptions. We found that many people wanted subscriptions to more popular magazines ones that we sadly were not offering. So I would always suggest making sure when you start these fundraisers it is with a very popular magazine!
