Magazine Fundraising to Michigans Adventure!

My sons 5th grade class was all set up to sell magazines to raise money for an end of the year trip to Michigans Adventure here in the state of Michigan. Oh the dreaded Magazine sale was all I thought! I always hated magazine sales when I was in school because no family or fiends wanted to buy them, it was so hard to go door to door because basically if someone wanted a magazine subscription they already had them! But my son really wanted to go on this trip and my husband and I had installed the morals of working hard to get what you want..so here we were trying to sell magazines! Of course my husband and I ordered one each, and our sons Grandparents and aunts, but other than that we were sure stuck! Every call we made we got a sorry, but no answer. We tried neighbors, but to no avail sorry but no was the answer we kept receiving! My son was disheartened and that broke my heart. I decided a trip to the tanner would clear my mind and make me smile so off I went. Went I arrived in the waiting area, what did I see? Magazines! It was like an ephany! I was so excited, I talked to my tanner and sure enough on the spot she ordered 3 subscriptions! The next day my son had a trip to the dentist. I dropped a hint to the receptionist that my son was selling magazines and baddabing 4 more subscriptions! This was too easy I thought. After a quick stop at McDonalds with my son for lunch we stopped at all of the doctors, dentists and business offices we could find! By the end of the say we had sold 50 plus subscriptions! Im telling you, if you are stuck in the rut of magazine sales..hit up Offices! They are the best! My son ended up raising more than enough money for his trip but enough for his Dad to go with him and an honorable mention that meant the world to him and us at his elementary school graduation.
