Magazines: it's all Greek to me!

My Greek society from Trinity College in Hartford, CT needed money to pay ever increasing oil bills to heat out house. Being the poor chump that was elected Treasurer, I took it upon myself to look into fundraising ideas. Through CampusFundraisers they had a magazine fundraiser where popular titles could be sold for around 50% off the cover price in most cases. The goal for each member was to sell 3 subscriptions--that's it. No door to door, just to family and friends. You could even resubscribe to magazines they already read. Campusfundraiser would double our money if we reached our goal. Although we did raise almost $400, my group was unenthusiastic and did not care about raising money to pay bills. Those who did participate found it very easy to sell at least 3 subscriptions. The fundraiser cost us almost nothing so for the little amount of work we put into it, we did quite alright. I would highly recommened CampusFundraisers, who have several other fundraisers that are great as well, to any group wishing to raise money. My group was terribly lazy but with later fundraisers, we were much more successful.
