my cookie fundraising story

When I was in the youth group at New life Assembly of God we sold cookie dough for a fund raiser to raise money to help out some of the youth that wanted to go to church camp but that couldnt afford the cost of it.

I was one of the youth that wanted to go but couldnt afford it so it was a good idea to me. What i done was i went to my family first cause i knew that they would buy some even if they didnt. i told them what the fund raiser was for. some wasnt wanting to buy the told me that they would give me the money to go if i wanted to. i told them i appreciate the gesture but i couldnt take the money, plus even if i did there was still other youth that was in the youth group that doesnt have family members that would do the same thing.

i also asked them if they could take a copy of the order with them to work and see if anyone there would buy some to.

after i talked to them about it i them went to my some of my friends (the ones that i knew would have the money and wouldnt order just make me happy) and i also took it to school to ask some of my teachers.

i ended up raising enough money to send not just me but also two other youths to camp. there was only a few of us that was able to go but the rest of the money that was raised was split between the youth fund and money sent to our missonaries for the church.
