My most successful fundraiser

by Kashay Hathorne
(Plano, TX)

I played for a basketball team in about 2 years ago in fifth grade, when my our coach needed us to fundraise to buy our uniforms.

We decided to fundraise chocolate covered raisins to get at least $100 each, and I managed to sell all of my candy in just 2 days! how? Well when the teachers say "dont go door to door." they tell us that for a good reason because your chances are to most likely get kidnapped or you might just have a bunch of people saying they aren't interested and slamming their door your face.

The best thing to do is to ask you family and friends, have your parents take the forms to work, and ask some of the neighbors that you may know.

To make my fundraiser successful, I put the boxes of candy on a small table in my front yard with a sign that read "fundraising candy for $1.00!" and people stopped by to buy my candy.

I managed to raise $283.00 total and with the extra money I gave it to my best friend so she could have a uniform. Helping others is also important.
