My School's Cookie Dough Expedition
I am a junior at Coxsackie-Athens High School in Coxsackie, New York. Our school launched a cookie dough campaign in order to fund raise money for our school prom. We all worked very diligently and eventually were able to make up the 327.56 required to pay for the remaining expenses for our prom.
The reason we decided to sell cookie dough is because a lot of the junior class likes cookie dough and we figured a lot of other people like it too so it would be a successful venture.
We held a pep-rally at our school to generate excitement for our cause. We talked about the necessity for raising money for prom and were able to get many students pumped and ready to sell.
I believe that the key to success is determination. Whenever someone declines to purchase your item, you have to just press it on them as nicely as possible. Speak about the good they will be doing to your organization and how grateful you all will be for their purchase. Most people will buy.
It was fun hanging out with friends while selling and going around town asking all the locals if they'd like to make a purchase.
