Orange and Grapefruit Fundraiser

The first thing I needed to do was figure out which company had the best deal on oranges that year. I used two different companies in the two years I was in charge. The company would then send me all of the paperwork that I needed to promote the sale.
I then organized all of the information, and prepared to pass it out to all of the band classes. I got out of all of my classes for one day to promote the sale. Because this was a fundraiser we did yearly it was very successful.
The students were then responsible for selling the fruit to friends and family. We gave away prizes to the students who sold the most fruit.
The day the fruit arrives, it comes in on a semi truck. I had to gather together volunteers to help me unload the fruit, and move it into the band room. It was very easy to get students to be excused from class to do this.
I then had to fill student orders with what they had sold. This was not difficult, but was very tedious.
This was always a great fundraiser for us, and we always earned at least a few several thousands dollars each year.
