Passion for Fashion Magazine Fundraiser

My daughter's school had a Fashion Council for students that were interested in that career path. It was a place for all burgeoning designers, models, stylists, etc. to meet and share ideas. There was a camp in NYC that would have been a great opportunity for our fashion enthusiasts, but it was very costly and the council had to find a way to pay for it. One of the events that the Fashion Council usually hosted was a Fashion Show that had been very successful in the past, even attracting some local scouts for modeling agencies. The idea was expanded upon and made into an entire Fashion Week for our school to showcase their talent. The tickets helped contribute to the cost of covering the trip and also, most of the attendees were interested in fashion or at least inspired by our effort, enough to subscribe to the magazines such as Teen Vogue and Seventeen that we were selling. A decision we made was to focus our attention onto a specific "Target Market" and it worked out well with us raising nearly $5 000. It was very successful for piquing interest in our Fashion Council, gaining members as well as funding our trip.
