Pie in the face Day.

My name is Tammy, I have a daughter named Italy and she was in a contest at her school when she was in first grade. She was going to a very small school where K thru Senior years were together. The school has a yearly carnival where they crown a king/queen and a prince/princess. Each class gets to nominate one girl and boy. The winners are determined by who raises the most money for their class.
All of the other classes were selling different things. I thought all of the people in town were getting pretty tired of having to buy stuff, so I come up with "pie in the face day". I talked the principle, the mayor of the town, the county sheriff, the DA, my mom... lol.. and a few others to take pies in the face.
I then contacted highland milk company and asked them to donate whipped cream and they did, I contacted coca cola company and they donated sodas, I then went door to door on the local merchants and got several things donated. The donations would be raffled off. I came up with about 4 different games to have, and I bought several little trinkets to give as prizes.
The pies were just a paperplate with Whipped cream on it. we sold them for 2 dollars each. The games were 50 cents each. I had faces painting for 1 dollar.
The day was a complete success. We ended up before the day of the carnival earning over 1600 dollars, and that was in a town that mearly has around 400 residents and competing with 12 other classes.
Italy won princess and she looked beautiful and was so very proud.
