Pot Luck Cookbook Fundraiser
by Sheila
(PA)
My son goes to a school for the deaf in Pittsburgh, Pa. They sold cookbooks to raise money a couple years ago. Each student was to submit at least one recipe and a short story. We sent in a recipe for hashbrown casserole.
The books were very affordable at ten dollars apiece. They were sold via sent home order form with the children and then made available at all of the open house/ may day times throughout the year.
It was fun and made my son proud to be a part of something in print. Cookbooks used for fundraiser are great. They are like a potluck. And the recipes are down to earth good food. Most ingredients are common things I have or buy often. Hooray for cookbooks as fundraisers.
