Private School Auction Fundraiser

When our private school's choir was invited to sing at the capital for a ceremony involving the newly-elected GW Bush, I decided to hold a silent auction at the school's Christmas pagent.

Parents of choir members brought gift baskets, baked goods, coupons for services, and Christmas-oriented goodies.

The silent auction lasted for an hour, and we raised almost $2,000. Since much friendly competition took place, some of our items sold for very high prices - including a pair of wreaths that were purchased for $250.

Excitement was easy to generate - with all the Christmas spirit going around, everyone was eager to help our kids go to DC to see the capital.
