Put the Fun in Fundraising

Once, in middle school, my class decided that instead of selling candy bars just to win prizes, we would donate whatever prize we happened to win to charity. That year, we told everyone what we were doing and people bought almost twice as many candybars.

We were able to get one of the top prizes (a bike), which we (of course) donated to charity. We were so glad to see some kid who couldn't afford a new bike get a great one.
