Quick Low Stress Fundraising

Im the Father of a group of five year old triplets. Last Spring my kids daycare was in a huge bind. The building had caught fire one evening and burned partially to the ground. Since it was a small private daycare it was a challenge bringing the place back to its original luster. For some unknown reason the only thing to survive the fire was random artwork. My idea was to auction off the artwork. The fathers became ultra competitive and the bids began to Fly! Believe it or not the fathers were willing to pay large sums of money for art. In the end the small daycare pulled in over 36,000. The local TV station picked up the story and we are in the process of using the art for this years invitations to the Christmas Party.

Auctions certainly are a terrific way of fundraising, particularly for larger organizations like schools. Online auctions provide you with the ability to acquire bids from a lot more supporters as compared with old-style auctions.
