Rubber Bracelets for CDH Awareness Raises Big Money

When I was pregnant with my son, I found out that he had a birth defect that was called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and I knew little about it.

I found a support group online and those people said the same thing so we decided to have a fundraiser. I am quite familiar with having fundraisers, so I helped out.

The website for the disease offered the rubber bracelets to raise awareness so a group of the mothers and I decided that we would hold a fundraiser much like the breast cancer awareness walks and had people pledge money for how many miles they thought they could walk.

In order to participate in the walk, we have the bracelets available for five dollars a piece and they had to purchase one to walk. The event was a success and we were able to donate over $10,000 to the charity!
