Save our school!

My son's co-op nursery school desperately needed cash. We were renting space in a local church and our rent was climbing, a cold winter and escalating heating costs forced our "landlord" to pass on some of his expenses.

We did the tried and true bake sale on primary day and raised a little, but not nearly enough. Someone thought out loud of ebay and we all jumped on it.

We rounded up our own and friends and neigbors designer hand-me-downs, photographed our loot and threw it all up on ebay.

We sold mostly bags, they flew, and very good condition clothing, kids and adults. We noted on our site that it was for our school and many very nice bidders sent words of encouragement.

One tip: always mention well known brands and if the goods are new or mint, say so!

It was a fun project and we netted about $1,000 for a few weeks work. We plan to do it again!
