School Playground Equipment from Cookie "Dough"

In the school year of 2007, our school's PTA began fundraising for new playground equipment. The most successful was the cookie dough fundraiser. Who doesn't enjoy sweets?

We brainstormed with the parents as well as children and came up with a list of grocery stores, shopping outlets, etc. that is in our local area. Each child/parent pledged to sell the cookie dough at each of our listed locations.

What a success! We sold double what we had originally anticipated. It really motivated the children when the school promised the WHOLE school a pizza party if we met our goal.

Not only did we raise money for much needed playground equipment, we also got to spend a fun day with our children doing so.
