Scratchcard Fundraiser Thoughts

I am a parent of a little league baseball player in Hershey PA. My son’s team gave scratch card fundraising a try to help keep registration fees down this past spring. I can say that I’m truly not a fan. Most people have an idea of what they would be willing to donate to a cause or are willing to purchase items with most of the money going to the cause but these scratch off tickets just seem to prolong the amount of time it takes me to get the job done. Our team was giving out coupons for local businesses for each person who donated from the scratch cards but the response I got from that was to “just keep it” because there were no services or products that interested them. Basically they gave their money and that was it. Same thing could have been accomplished a less complicated way in my eyes.
