Selling candy for a trip to an Amusement park.
by Lisa
My son had to raise money for his eighth grade class trip. They were going to Cedar Point, an amusement park in Ohio. He needed to sell 100 candy bars at $2.00 a piece to meet his quota for the trip, and he had one month to sell.
My son first sold to friends, neighbors and immediate family on his own, then my entire family took turns taking the box of candy bars to work, each just for a few days. I took it to work, my husband, my sisters and a few of my husband's family members. He ended up meeting his quota for the trip and almost sold another entire box of 100 bars and went on to win 3rd prize in his school, which was a $25 gift certificate.
Family definitely helps, have them take it to work and offer them around lunch, or just put them in the lunch room with the price on the box. They will sell in no time!
