Shapes and Colors for Cookie Dough Fundraiser

We did the normal calling of family and friends and still just werent selling the amount like we normally would be had we sold candy or subs. Determined to figure out the best way to do this we went out and tried to sell in front of stores and etc. like the girls and boy scouts do. No such luck, as we didnt have anything to offer and only had the order form to show! So my son and I got to thinking and looking through the order form. The cookie dough that is colored looked mighty interesting to us. So we contacted the company we were selling from and went and picked some up for us right away.
We went home and baked colored cookies like maniacs all day. The best part was that since we were selling for a baseball team we made them in the shapes of baseballs, baseball bats, mits, gloves, etc. We also make cookies in my sons teams colors as well as the colors of the Detroit Tigers as we are from Michigan and of course that is our favorite professional Baseball team here!
We then went back out with our "samples" to try to sell these cookies! They went over amazing! We gave out all of our samples and sold so many cookies that we had to get more order forms from my sons coach the next day.
By the end of our sale time, my son and I alone had filled up 3 order forms full of cookie orders. We passed on this bit of information to other team members parents who decided to try the same thing and it was amazing the amount of sales that the whole team brought it! We sold so much money that the kids earned a trip at the end of the season to Michigans Adventure here which is kind of like a Cedar Point, and etc.
It was a great great sale and we are all hoping to do the same sale next year. We are all really looking forward to it!
