SHOW ME THE FOOD !!!

Several years ago when my children were in school in Eastern Iowa, their school held a cookbook sale fundraiser for new kitchen equipment - how appropriate !!!

Even with pictures, it's hard to imagine what a recipe will taste like or look like, unless you've tasted it and seen it. So, we decided to have a "Taste of Centennial" (the name of the school) and during a special open house, just for this event, the authors/submitters of the recipes for the cookbook set up a table and the guests could go from table to table and sample the recipes.

The cookbook sale was such a big success, we ran out of cookbooks !!!! It has grown into such an event, two years ago there was TV coverage for it and this year people were lined up out the door to get in !!!!
